Jan
After selling his half of his butcher shop on the Rockingham Foreshore (Jan was in partnership down there for 20 years with his best mate Detlef), Jan took a year off and returned to Copenhagen, Denmark to spend valuable time with his aging parents and family.
A Chef and a Butcher by trade, Jan returned to Perth and went back into hospitality as a Chef. Missing butchering, he and partner Karen decided to buy The Butchery on Cranford and put Jan back in the industry that he is most passionate about.
Carl
Carl joined our team in July 2021. Having owned the shop in 2002, Carl then moved on to work in the meat wholesale industry. Missing the interaction with our amazing customers and the side of the industry he is most passionate about; Carl joined our Team.

Karen
Karen is new to the butcher business and loves her new “trade”. Her background is in Corporate World so when she’s not helping out in the shop, she is busy doing the bookwork and the other “behind the scenes” tasks.
Giving back to the community
Jan and Karen believe in giving back to the local community and sponsor various local sporting clubs, donating regularly to local schools and charities including provision of meat to “Melville Cares” who provide home cooked meals to elderly residents living alone.
